Have you ever wondered what the world will be like in the future? Have you heard about climate change or global warming but don’t really know what it’s about?
Every time we use energy - to heat water for our shower, to watch TV or to power a car - we are using up resources from the planet. The problem is that we only have one planet, and if we are not careful we might use it all up.
So, it’s everyone’s job to make sure that we do the right thing to make sure that the planet can be enjoyed by everyone for many years to come.
Take action
It does not take huge steps to make a change. Try to do one or more of the following and you will help to keep the planet safe:
- Switch off the lights if you do not need them (tell your teachers to do this too)
- If it’s a short journey don’t take the bus or car; instead walk or ride a bike (it will save money too!)
- Ask your parents or teachers what they are doing to help the planet
Let us know what action you take by leaving a message for the team!
