Ages 5-11

**Have you ever wondered what the world will be like in the future? Have you heard about climate change or global warming but don’t really know what it’s about?**

**Every time we use energy – to heat water for our shower, to watch TV or to power a car – we are using up resources from the planet. The problem is that we only have one planet, and if we are not careful we might use it all up.**

**So, it’s everyone’s job to make sure that we do the right thing to make sure that the planet can be enjoyed by everyone for many years to come.**

### Take action ###

It does not take huge steps to make a change. Try to do one or more of the following and you will help to keep the planet safe:

- Switch off the lights if you do not need them (tell your teachers to do this too)
- If it’s a short journey don’t take the bus or car; instead walk or ride a bike (it will save money too!)
- Ask your parents or teachers what they are doing to help the planet

Let us know what action you take by leaving a message for the team!

### Get involved ###
